MEDICAL CLINIC
In the country areas of Zimbabwe, the people rely on the local medical clinics to resolve their health problems. A State Registered Nurse who deals with first aid, accidents, delivering babies and everyday ailments, usually runs these clinics.
Anything more serious is transferred to the nearest hospital, which in the case of the Midlands Black Rhino Conservancy is at Kwe Kwe, a 30-minute drive away.
When the water supply dried up at the Sebakwe Clinic, which services an area of 5000 people, the SBRT sank a new borehole to provide an excellent water supply to the medical clinic. The Sebakwe Primary School and Education Centre also benefited from the borehole.
On each of our visits we take medical supplies to the Clinic to restock their empty shelves and cupboards – all donated by friends and members in the UK.
